Just generally more impressive all around, and hopefully looks more like a "current-gen" title rather than an upscaled last-gen one. It's still the same engine though so things do sort of have the same overall look, at least with the characters and such, though they seem to be a higher resolution with better shaders and whatnot. The graphics look much better than the first game, at least to my eyes and from the screenshots I've seen. That would be awesome if he were playable. I had heard rumors about Cable being a playable character but it hasn't been announced yet - he is at least in the game, anyway.
Originally titled Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 Fusion, on account of the increased importance of "Fusion attacks", which were sort of present in the previous games of the series (M:UA, X-Men Legends 1 and 2).Has been announced for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, PSP, and DS.Haven't seen an official announcement but September seems to be around the right time.
Gamestop's site has it listed for the 8th, while Amazon has it for the 30th of that month. Should be releasing around this Fall, probably September, but the actual date I'm not sure about. They helped Raven in developing the first game so they're not completely new to the series. Being developed by Vicarious Visions, which is the company that actually owned the Alchemy engine used for the first game after they bought it out from the struggling original developer of the engine.Doesn't hurt that I'm going through for the achievements I missed the first time, and to use the DLC/Gold characters that I never really tried out when I first downloaded them. I'm basically playing it again because I'm getting pretty hyped up for M:UA2, and playing the first one is now hyping the sequel up even more. Haven't seen a thread or anything aside from a short article in Opposable Thumbs a couple months ago, but I figured I'd start the anticipation thread since I'm currently replaying through the first M:UA.
